What's new to 2021
The mid-sized SUV is back and more modern than ever. The 2021 model year sees the introduction of a brand-new trim level (ST-Line) along with a few minor changes to other trim levels. Beyond the new trim, the other standout change to the Ford Edge is a new infotainment system. The Ford Edge now offers Westfield, MA drivers a Sync 4A infotainment system that pairs with a 12-inch infotainment display, two USB ports, and a navigation system. The Ford Edge is mostly unchanged, otherwise.
Performance
The Ford Edge features two engine options across its five trim levels. Drivers thinking of getting on the base trim levels of the new Ford Edge can look forward to a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that manages 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. If more power is necessary, then the Ford Edge offers up a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which makes 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. The 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged engine is solely available with the ST trim level. Both engines work with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine features front-wheel drive as a standard drivetrain with all-wheel drive as an available upgrade. The 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine offers West Springfield, MA drivers standard all-wheel drive.
Safety
The Ford Edge comes equipped with a standard set of driver assistance features (Ford Co-Pilot360) along with all the classic safety equipment you'd expect. The Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assistance suite bundles together a host of driver assistance features to help increase driving confidence on Agawam area roads. The Ford Co-Pilto360 suite includes forward-collision mitigation (with automatic emergency braking), blind-spot monitoring (with rear cross-traffic alert), automatic high beams, and lane-keeping assistance. The Ford Edge also makes a few driver assistance features optional, which are bundled together as Ford Co-Pilot360+. The Ford Co-Pilot360+ suite includes adaptive cruise control with stop/go, evasive steering assist, and a lane centering.
