Design

The subcompact design of the 2020 Ford EcoSport allows for easier navigation of crowded streets and tight parking spaces. However, while it may be small on the outside, the interior is surprisingly accommodating. EcoSport seats up to five riders with 21 cubic feet for cargo behind the second row. If you have a big day of errands in West Springfield and need to prioritize carrying capacity, the 60/40-split rear seats fold down to reveal up to 50 cubic feet of maximum cargo space.

Powertrains

S, SE, and Titanium models find motivating in a turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine (123 horsepower, 125 pound-feet of torque) paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard on SES models and optional on other trims, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. The 2.0-liter engine comes standard with all-wheel-drive.

Technology

The intuitive and feature-packed SYNC 3 infotainment system is now available on the SE trim level and above. Featuring an 8-inch touchscreen display and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SYNC 3 provides easy access to essential smartphone apps, including hands-free messaging and calls, media, maps, points of interest, WAZE, Spotify, weather information, and more. A 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth connectivity are standard equipment on all trims.

Available BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) provides a notification when a vehicle is occupying the EcoSport's blind spot, so the driver can more easily determine when it's safe to change lanes. When reversing out of a driveway or parking space, available Rear Cross-Traffic Alert monitors for vehicles approaching from either side.

The 2020 Ford EcoSport offers West Springfield drivers a choice of four trim levels:

• S: Standard features include 16-inch alloy wheels, blind-spot mirrors, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, automatic headlights, Bluetooth, a 4.2-inch central display, six-speaker sound system, two USB ports, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.


• SE: Moving up one trim level, Springfield shoppers can add LED running lights, a wiper de-icer, roof rails, privacy glass, rear parking sensors, fog lights, keyless entry and ignition, a sunroof, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, a SYNC 3 infotainment system with 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.


• SES: The penultimate comes standard with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, navigation, 17-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, leather upholstery, heated mirrors, automatic wipers, and sporty style enhancements.


• Titanium: The top trim level equips chrome trim, metallic bumper accents, a heated steering wheel, and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen Play premium sound system.
